Elisha Yaffe began performing comedy at Emerson College in Boston. While enrolled there, he co-created, produced and hosted what became one of Boston’s most popular live comedy shows, ZEBRO. ZEBRO’s videos were featured on CNN, BBC, MSNBC, The Today Show, MTV, The Huffington Post, and Salon.com. On the weekends, he toured colleges with THE SECRET CIRCUS, an acclaimed three man comedy group comprised of Yaffe, Dave Burdick and Ballard C. Boyd.

In 2007, he moved to Los Angeles, where he, Dave Horwitz, Justin Becker, and Michael Blaiklock formed SORRY, DAD and created DOWNERS GROVE, a web pilot for Warner Brothers Television about four townies who never leave home, despite the fact that all their friends have left for college. With Sorry, Dad, he also created MINOR STARS for FremantleMedia and ROOMMATE MEETING.

Along with Curt Neill, he co-wrote REMEMBER WHEN, a web series that was then developed for television. He and Curt, along with director Sam Molleur, reconvened to produce BREAK UP BREAKDOWN for MSN and Rooftop Comedy.

He has written and created shows for FREMANTLEMEDIA, PRINCIPATO-YOUNG, WARNER BROTHERS, MSN, YAHOO and TBS.

He has performed stand up at clubs and colleges across the country. The Boston Herald called him “endearingly silly”. The Boston Globe called him “a rising comedic star”. The Denver Post said that he and THE SECRET CIRCUS redefine “what it means to see live comedy, breathing energy into an art form that sorely needs it”. In 2009, Heeb Magazine named him to their Heeb 100.

He currently can be seen in campaigns for SamsungTime Warner Cable, Nintendo, and NorthSocial, a national spot for McDonald’s, an upcoming ad for Hanes w/Michael Jordan and a viral spot w/Stone Cold Steve Austin. In the past, he has acted in a national spot for Mike’s Hard Lemonade, an ad Wendy’s airing exclusively on Adult Swim, an ad for Avery Products, and one for the NFL Network

He has guest starred on CSI:NY and MAD MEN. He will also appear in an upcoming indie film by the name of GUS and TWITWITS, a web series produced by Stun Creative.

He is currently in production on SPECTATORS, an animated series sold to FremantleMedia. It is being pitched as Beavis and Butthead for sports fanatics and follows two fans who idly watch their lives go by.

Although you didn’t ask, he’d would also like you to check out two production companies that he co-founded and cares so very much about: SORRY, DAD and MAKESHIFT.
